32" Titanium is here
A BIGGER TAKE ON TI
The El Jefe Grande takes everything we love about our titanium hardtail and rolls it onto 32-inch wheels. Fast, light, and ready for damn near anything. It’s built for long days, XC racing, big backcountry missions, and everything in between. And because bigger wheels shouldn’t mean boring handling, we built the Grande from the ground up to keep the playful, capable ride that makes an El Jefe an El Jefe.

TI IS FLY
The El Jefe Grande started in Concept Labs as an experiment. What happens when you take 32” wheels seriously and build the whole bike around them? Turning that experiment into a production bike took more prototypes, plenty of trail miles, and some new ways of working with a material we’ve spent the last decade obsessing over.
The 3D-printed titanium head tube is the best example. A long 32” fork puts serious leverage into a very short head tube, so traditional titanium construction wasn’t the answer. Our 3D-printed design lets us build a substantially stronger, stiffer front end, while opening up cleaner internal cable routing at the same time.
After nearly 10 years of building titanium bikes, the goal is still the same one we started with - a modern take on traditional titanium. The El Jefe Grande just takes that idea a little further.

FAQ
REVEL MAKES TITANIUM BIKES?!
We do now! Well, in a way, we always have… our sister company, Why Cycles, has been manufacturing the most advanced titanium bikes in the world since 2016. We're retiring the Why Cycles brand, so now you can find the most advanced carbon and titanium bikes on the market under one name - Revel Bikes.
SHOULD I GET THE EL JEFE OR THE EL JEFE GRANDE?
It depends. It comes down to wheelsize preference. If you want to stick to a more-traditional wheel size, stick to the 29” El Jefe. If you want to be included in the leading-wave of the 32” wheel size, go with the El Jefe Grande. Both have an unmistakable Revel ride feel. Both bikes are ripping fast hardtail that can bikepack when it needs to.
CAN I RUN A 29” WHEEL ON MY EL JEFE GRANDE?
Yes and no. For frame sizes M~XL, the El Jefe Grande was designed for a 32” wheel configuration front and rear. On size S, the frame was design around a 29” rear wheel. Running a 29” wheel is only approved for the use as a rear wheel on size small.
UDH COMPATIBLE? WHAT DOES THAT MEAN?
We've updated all Revel Ti bikes with SRAM UDH (Universal Derailleur Hanger), so replacement hangers are easier to find and your bike's drivetrain is more future-proof against manufacturer updates down the line.
CAN I RUN MY EL JEFE GRANDE AS A SINGLE SPEED?
Yes! Since the frame does not have a belt split, you must run a chain-driven single speed setup.
HOW MANY BOTTLES CAN I FIT ON MY EL JEFE GRANDE?
All of them! Every frame size includes 5 bottom mounts. Configure as you see fit!
DOES THE EL JEFE GRANDE HAVE ANY 3-PACK MOUNTS?
Yes! The El Jefe Grande frame includes one 3-pack mount located on the top-side of the downtube.
DO YOU OFFER FULL BUILD OPTIONS?
Currently, the El Jefe Grande is available in a frame-only configuration. Build parts are now becoming more widely available on the aftermarket channel.
WHAT IS THE TORQUE FOR THE TI SLIDING DROPOUT BOLTS?
15-18Nm for the dropout bolts, 3-4Nm for the tensioner bolt.
WHAT IS THE SPECIFICATION OF THE LONGITUDINAL TENSIONER BOLT?
M5 x 0.8 x 35mm Stainless steel cap screw.
CAN I RUN A RIGID FORK ON THE JEFE GRANDE?
Yes! Just make sure that you've got enough 32” tire clearance and the axle-to-crown length is as close to 550mm as possible. A rule of thumb is finding a fork within +-10mm of the suggested axle-to-crown measurement.
IS THE JEFE GRANDE'S HEADTUBE ANGLE MEASURED AT SAG?
No. All geo is measured at static top out.
CAN I BIKE PACK WITH THE EL JEFE GRANDE?
Yes! The El Jefe Grande makes a great ultralight, ultra-capable bikepacking rig. We designed it for team athlete Jefe Branham to crush multi-day epics like the Colorado Trail Race. If you're OK with packing light, the Jefe Grande is up to the task.
WHAT'S THE BEST FRAME BAG FOR MY JEFE GRANDE?
We love the bags we've seen and used from companies like Rogue Panda, Oveja Negra and Good Busy Gear.
WHAT IS THE BEST WAY TO POLISH MY TITANIUM FRAME?
We recommend using some rubbing alcohol and a Scotch Brite pad and scrubbing gently in a "shoe-shine" motion (one direction or back and forth, not circular), then wiping down and finishing with a light coat of furniture polish like Pledge. This should work for both oxidation and light scratches. Please
avoid scrubbing to the sand blasted areas of the frame/logos as it may disrupt
and create a uneven finish.
IS MY WHY CYCLES BIKE STILL COVERED UNDER WARRANTY?
Absolutely! All Why Cycles and Revel Bikes frames come with lifetime warranties and a generous crash replacement program for the original purchaser. If anything does happen and you need a replacement frame, it will most likely be replaced with a Revel branded titanium frame, but we’ll get you back to riding ASAP!
